Nature Camp 2010

Nature Camp Overview

In addition to our preschool program, Tauxemont Preschool offers one-week camp sessions during the months of June and July where your child can enjoy a traditional camp experience with nature hikes, camp songs, opening and closing ceremonies, and more - all within our beautiful wooded setting!

Tauxemont Nature Camp consists of 5 one-week camp sessions for children ages 3 1/2 through completion of first grade (rising second graders), and is directed by staff members Barbara Bradley, Lisa Finn, and Dawn Matthews.

This camp is intended for children who are independent and can easily separate from parents/guardians.

Camp is held Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 11:45 am. Nutritious snacks are provided daily.

All camp themes include elements of art, crafts, music, and animals. Each week we have special visitors. This year will feature Animal Ambassadors - Backyard Alive!

Campers may attend more that one session, however there is a three session maximum per camper.

2010 Session Themes

Session one June 14 – June 18 “In The Sky”
Session two June 21 – June 25 “In Our Backyard”
Session three June 28 – July 2 “At The Beach”
Session Four July 5 – July 9 “On The Farm”
Session Five July 12 – July 16 “On A Mountain”
*Session Four is open to rising 2nd graders
